PMC Strengthens Occupational Safety Culture Through The Celebration of World OSH Day 2026

Putra Medical Centre (PMC) was honoured to be selected as the host for the Kedah State-Level World OSH Day 2026 Programme, organised by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Kedah. The organisation of this programme reflects a proactive effort in strengthening workplace safety and health culture, in line with continuous initiatives towards creating a safer and healthier working environment.

The programme, held at the PMC compound, was officiated by Ir. Hj. Abdul Aziz bin Salim, Director of DOSH Kedah, and attended by PMC’s top management, including Dato’ Dr. Lim Kim Huat, Deputy Executive Chairman, and Dato’ Dr. Lee Gaik Cheng, Managing Director.

A key highlight of the event was the series of four knowledge-sharing sessions delivered by industry experts. Among the notable presentations were those by PMC’s own medical specialists, Dr. Tan Boon Lee, Consultant General Surgeon, who spoke on bleeding management in industrial accidents, and Dr. Cheng Hee Song, Medical & Emergency Doctor, who presented on workplace medical emergency procedures.

In addition to the talks, the programme was further enlivened by the participation of 12 exhibition booths showcasing various occupational safety and health solutions. Participating agencies and companies included the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Department of Environment (DOE), Fire and Rescue Department, PRIMA Jaya Engineering, Renzo Ventures, Proguard Technologies, and MAHSA International College. PMC’s internal units such as Physiotherapy, Infection Control, Marketing, Emergency Response Team (ERT), and Dietetics also participated by setting up booths to provide comprehensive exposure and awareness to attendees.
