Putra Medical Centre Alor Setar celebrates our patrons with our dedicated ‘Life is Precious’ philosophy.

MAKING PREMIUM HEALTHCARE AFFORDABLE

Putra Medical Centre Alor Setar started with a simple mission: to bring better healthcare to the people of Kedah. Founded by Dato’ Dr. Lim Kim Huat in 1995, the hospital began with just 62 beds and a small team of specialists. Fast-forward to today and PMC has 29 specialist consultant to afford our valued patrons everything from heart care to general surgery to gynaecology to orthopaedic fixes and more.

What sets us apart is our continued pledge and endeavour to keep healthcare affordable. Despite the rising cost of medical services, this hospital has worked hard to keep prices reasonable, ensuring that more people can access the healthcare they need. In so doing, we have earned a reputation for bespoke services that are backed by ongoing training for our staff and the latest in medical technology. We are also working hard to continuously improve and adapt, ensuring that our services remain accessible, efficient and of the highest quality for our community.

Northern Region Trailblazer

Putra Medical Centre has grown into a genuine leader, but remains a real icon for this state’s residents. Setting the benchmark for the market in many ways, our hospital works closely with the local health authorities to help shape better policies for the entire region. Making a valiant effort to serve those in need with innovative offerings across various disciplines, patrons benefit from our services to include everything from advanced surgeries to specialised treatments. Also, we are constantly expanding to meet the needs of our beloved city’s citizens and even folks in the other districts of Kedah and beyond.

Preventive Healthcare Mantra

Putra Medical Centre Alor Setar doesn’t just wait for people to fall sick. We have a best practices code that captures our stance of promoting a healthy lifestyle in a bid to prevent illness wherever possible. Through regular health screenings, wellness workshops, and community outreach activities, we help the public to understand how to stay healthy and detect problems early before they become serious. These efforts have been well-received, depicting just how much the community values this approach.

    Footprint of Humanitarianism

On an equally essential note, our workforce wasn’t just focused on treating patients when Kedah was hit by floods. The hospital made it a point to look out for our staff, offering free medical help to those affected by the disaster, all while ensuring patient care continued without interruption. This level of commitment to both patients and employees reflects just how much PMC cares about the community.

      Humanising The Personal Touch

The patient takes precedence here. Our approach to care is holistic. This means that the person is seen as a whole, and isn’t just measured by his or her symptoms. This includes paying close attention to the emotional and social aspects of one’s state, making sure all patients feel supported throughout their journey. PMC also goes beyond treatment by engaging with the community through health education programmes and partnerships with local groups. This helps to improve health outcomes for everyone.

        Vision for Expansion and Elevation

Additionally, Putra Medical Centre Alor Setar is planning on introducing new specialties and improving existing ones, ensuring that this hub remains a leader in healthcare innovation. We also recognise the importance of sustainability. As a private healthcare provider with a passionate trail, we are dedicated to environmentally-friendly practices and social responsibility initiatives which benefit the community.

          BECAUSE EVERY LIFE IS PRECIOUS

Putra Medical Centre Alor Setar is a shining example of what healthcare should look like in Northern Malaysia. By providing affordable and high-quality care, leading in innovative medical services, and engaging with the community in meaningful ways, we have become an essential part of the region’s landscape. As we continue to grow and expand, we offer the hope of everyone in Northern Malaysia having fuss-free access to the healthcare they need, no matter their financial or geographical situation.
